update for the princess

Bobbi is growing like a weed, she finally fits her little dresses and is starting to walk on a leash and harness, She is growing up to fast and get's more and more fuzzy each day! One of the most hilarious things is when she discovered an ice cube and was sliding it all over the floor like she was in a one man hockey game. She is one week away from having all of her shots, that's when her true adventures start, parks, the beach, she loves going out and seeing new things and she can meet new friends. I can't imagine the fun I will have with her she brings so much joy wherever she goes. The best part she is fully housetrained  YAYYYYY! here are some more recent photos of little Bobbi...

she loves to chew on everything and has become a sock thief lol.recently she tried hauling my camera around and found it to heavy so she walked up to me and bit my foot as if to say not fair! she is full of energy and so cute!

perhaps a rant

Ok I have always had a habit of following storms and staying up all hours of the night just kind of a night person and decided to go film the lightning to see if I could go get some footage, I took Bobbi with me because she loves car rides and got her new carrier in the mail (will post pics later), I realize this blog is about Bobbi but I want to talk about something that weighs heavy on my soul as it should to everyone and that is abuse to animals its sick! furthermore the strays where I live is sadly out of control, so bad in fact that Bobbi cannot even enjoy her own yard because I am so afraid she will get a disease

Tonight was truly sad, my mom and I were driving around and filming the storm which when we went to check to make sure my grandparents grave ornaments were ok a pretty good size limp had fallen and blocked the road, I cleared the debris and found a really cool limb to fashion into a walking stick. So after placing it in the car we drove around more getting ok footage might be able to use it later, however, one street we went down a back road we noticed a cat sitting in the street mom almost hit her and she didn't move, turning around to see what was wrong I noticed she was very ill and couldn't move fearing she would be hit I used the limb to gently move her out of the road and into the grass, I felt so bad as she meowed a few times and seemed to be in pain her condition was heartbreaking I want to scoop her up and save her but I couldn't take the chance with Bobbi It was so sad and hard to see an animal especially a cat suffer the way she was by the time I got her to the grass she took some very misguided steps towards me and laid down her head on the limb looking up with this look of thanks and closed her eyes, I have no clue if she passed  then but I just pray she went to rainbow bridge to end her suffering, she was beautiful even in her state, a Himalayan looking cat with stunning blue eyes she was haunting I just pray shes in a better place, the most tragic thing is when we turned around her mate was across the street keeping a watchful eye on his or her friend.

I hate seeing this kind of thing no animal should die alone in the rain, on the side of the road, or never knowing what love could be, it made me appreciate my pets so much more but breaks my heart to know so many are suffering. I wish  laws were stricter on people who abuse animals to, volunteering in animal shelters when I was younger I have seen the worst of the worst, the forgotten as I called them some I was able to bring around others were put to sleep you get attached and it didn't matter if they were beautiful or deformed each was a life and had the capacity to love. so why do some people hurt their pets and other animals its so cruel if you don't want them there are places to go, like shelters and police stations, I have rescued so many by my house I have lost count but maybe they were the lucky ones.

so consider giving an animal a chance you normally wouldn't and hug and love the ones you have they could be like the shelter pets or midnight lost and alone and pray for the others to find a better place, sorry if this seems long I just cant stand to see any animal go through this, I look at Bobbi and see how lucky she is and wish I could adopt more, when you buy those treats, blankets, toys, clothes remember the shelter pets they would love to have some happiness to donate even if its just one thing think of how happy they would feel if someone cared, volunteer if you can and love is all that it takes to make a once forgotten animal into a cherished friend you never forget

this post is dedicated to Midnight and Mckee my beautiful orange tabby I sadly lost to illness

tummy ache

Bobbi had her first rough night last night she was really gassy and had a little diarrhea, but with changing her food up she is doing so much better. Last night at walmart I got her a little Easter sock monkey which she sleeps on lol the only toy she really plays with is her pink squeaky dog, sometimes her plush armadillo

She got her first bath to, I try just to use the puppy wipes but when I got her she was really gross so having bathed dogs before as a job I knew to be really careful with her and keep her warm, she did so well but it was hilarious to see her with the blow dryer (used on warm several inches away from her just to dry faster and keep her warm) she kept posing like a diva as if to say fluff here!

She looked so pretty groomed, and smelled better!

She is growing like a weed, its fun to watch her grow and become more active, she plays a lot more and her eyes are brighter and eat man this little girl has an appetite for so little you would think she was a football player!

she got food on her nose!

Teething is hilarious she finds new and exciting things everyday, then she is a vacuum to so I am constantly watching her to make sure shes safe sometimes she looks at me like ok quit hovering!

That's a size 10 shoe she is so tiny!!

whats even more hilarious is the fact she it to little for clothes she doesn't even fit the xxs or teacup size!

I love her little shirt but have to put a hair tie so it fits somewhat she only wears it out, as much as a princess as she is she is all dog, and will get messy and play as a dog should, but she will be a little fashionista to lol

It's sometimes surreal that she is with me alot is going on with moving and other things but she has been a real joy and has helped me so much! I love her and she is now crashed out in my lap so i am following suit you know the saying sleep when the baby does that applies to her with the 4 to 6 hour feedings lol

So this is it!

Bobbi came to me as well a surprise, I had been looking for a dog to fill a void in my life due to losing both of my grandparents and finding out I had to lose my previous pets due to illness and the assumption I was moving out of state (which later I found I didn't have to) my two beautiful bearded dragons Rumple and Belle went to a wonderful home of a man who could raise them they were special needs, my snake Maleficent found a mate and calmed his temper so he could finally be adopted, and I lost my best friend and companion Mckee a orange tabby who meant the world to me to hearworms. I nearly vowed that I would never get another pet and my mom and I were looking on adoption sites for dogs just for fun when we got a phone call from my moms friend she was adopting a new puppy, I really wasn't interested at first having losing my pets before I was both worried and terrified if the puppy was healthy and was I ready to take on having another pet so soon. Oddly enough I got excited I wanted to see the little guy or girl, she was a tiny chihuahua, and my moms friend had her twin sister Santi.

that's Bobbi my new little princess without the red ribbon and her twin Santi who lives out of state. My mom and I made the road-trip to see the new puppy and to visit and the whole way I had doubts, was she healthy, where did she come from, what was she like, what did she look like... a million questions running through my head understandably  The hilarious part was we had to wait till the next morning to get her and I couldn't sleep I just wanted her with me now. Finally the time came and my moms friend arrived with the most precious puppy I had ever seen all of my doubts vanished and the infamous call of AWWWWWW was heard, she was tiny, fit in the palm of my hand and she looked up with these cute little eyes as if to say are you my mommy, I almost cried remembering Mckee having that same look. She was kind of lethargic and we later learned why, never having a puppy before I was officially a noob at what to feed such a tiny pup so I made the unfortunate mistake of giving her oatmeal which made her sick like and then I thought giving her baby food would help and that gave her loose stools, finally I got her to a vet where we were visiting and they gave me some formula and she hated it! I had to fight her to drink it but her energy began to come back, the worst part is we decided to enjoy the roadtrip and ended up in a small town where my moms friend recommended and I found out there was no puppy chow anywhere so baby food had to stay along with the hated formula the vet assured it was ok for just a couple of days until we got home, she slowly regained her strength and was vibrant and gaining a very cute personality of always curious...

Bobbi with the bluebonnets,

we discovered Dinosaur valley the day after we got Bobbi and she had a blast trekking around in a makeshift carrier I made she never fussed except to potty and she loved smelling the air for new scents

when we got home Bobbi Had a little bit of transition time she seemed to be used to the traveling and exploring she didn't really know what to do with staying at home. she had a crate with plenty of room to sleep in with her blanket, toys, and water (she is spoiled) and she was adapting well with her grass pad (to little to be outside), that's when we got some odd news, her first vet visit, she was healthy and weighed 1 lb so she had a good weight for her size, her age however startled me due to we were told that she was only 6 weeks old, I was livid who adopts puppies that are still supposed to be with their mother and on top of that I had trekked around with her thankfully she never met other dogs and I was very careful where she pottied searching to make sure there was no other dog evidence perhaps I am to paranoid. so I now had a true baby the voyage of weaning to water and solid food began I was shocked to see she learned the routine within a day and a half, she drinks water from a preemie bottle I squeeze it to give her a small stream and she laps it up, I tried a small bowl and she fell in (top heavy). Her dog food consists of a process of 2 tbs of Purina puppy chow and a 1 tbs of the wet puppy food from Purina pro plan, I take a baggie and mix the puppy chow with warm water and use a wooden mallet to crush it up a little then mix in the wet food, she goes nuts and eats like a little piggie demanding her Disney princess bowl (refuses the other one) which is where the nickname little princess came from, she can be a diva. followed by the nutrical a little dollop between meals to stabilize her blood sugar the vet noticed she was wobbly. So now I am just waiting to see how big my little girl is going to get, I bought her two little dresses one formal one casual she seems to get cold easy and she has everything she needs its been kind of a weird ride but worth it, I love my princess so very much and loving every minute I spend with her, so this blog is about her life and the ups and downs of puppyhood.
